Rishikesh also known as the yoga capital of the world, situated along with the convergence of Ganga and Chandrabhaga. It is situated at an altitude of 356 m above sea level. Rishikesh is the starting of Char Dham Yatra. Rishikesh in the lap of Himalayas is the hub of many ancient temples, cafes, yoga ashrams, and adventure sports. The air is filled with soothing strains of temples. Hundreds of pilgrims visit there with earthen lamps, then after aarti float them in the river.  The atmosphere is like singing aartis. The weather of Rishikesh is pleasant throughout the year. Summers, from May – June are a little bit warm. It is the best time to visit as white water rafting is most active during this season. March is the favorite month to visit because the yoga festival is going on.
