Uttarkashi means kasha is a town In Uttrakhand state of India. It is a small pilgrimage place of Uttarakhand. It is the district headquarter of Uttarkashi. It is situated at an altitude of 1158 m above sea level on the banks of Bhagirathi river. It is also home if a different variety of flora and fauna. The summer season is best to visit Uttarkashi. The weather is pleasant and the temperature lies between 15 deg C to 30 deg C. Days are warm and nights are cooler during summers. September, October, and November are most favorable months as most of the holy Hindu festival occurs during this period. The whole town shows his respects to Hindu deities. Uttarkashi has a warm climate. The average annual temperature is 18 deg c. The winter starts from October and ends till February.
